The North-American East end of the International Appalachian Trail (IAT, or SIA in French) goes through the beautiful Gaspésie peninsula. I did a 125-km portion of it in August 2019.
I flew to Mont-Joli (through Montréal), then took a bus to Sainte-Anne-des-Monts. From there, there’s a shuttle that takes you to the main service center of the park and another shuttle takes you to the East-most refuges.
Once there, I started by going West to the tip of the Matane Faunic Reserve, then started to cross the park East-bound.
